Success Coaches

Each student will be assigned a success coach once their award is approved. The coach will assist with the funding application process, help find tutoring services if needed, and provide support throughout your educational journey.

Applicant Criteria

This scholarship is available to recent High School Graduates and Adult Learners that have not earned any other post high school certificates or degrees. Students pursuing more than 2 years of training /education are not eligible for scholarships under the L2E program.

Who Should Apply?

  • Any student wanting to pursue a first-time certificate or 2-year specific degree.
  • Students who are accepted or enrolled in their first post high school training/education specific skill program.

Applicants Must:

  • Be recent High school graduates and adult learners.
  • Live in Southwest Florida; Collier, Lee, Charlotte, Hendy & Glades counties and express desire to work and live in Southwest Florida.
  • Have already been accepted into a Southwest Florida technical, occupational or specific 2-year degree program that leads to employment immediately after graduation.
  • Have applied for FAFSA and other awards.
  • Have a strong work ethic.
  • Give back to L2E by volunteering their time as needed.
  • Provide a ledger from the school (costs, grants & payments).
  • Provide 2 letters of recommendation.
Student Information

Awards Process

After gathering all pertinent information, the review committee will decide to accept or reject. If accepted they will determine the amount per term that will be awarded.

Once a student is awarded, they will be assigned a Success Coach. The Success Coach will help them access the student fund request. Student will fill out a “Student Status Update (SSU). Students will need an updated financial statement and current copy of their grades.

The funds will be paid to the school. This process will take about 14 days from approval until the school receives the check. It will depend on the student and how quickly they return their SSU.

This process will happen at the beginning of every term, and L2E funds are only paid after all other funds have been applied to their account.

About the Scholarship

The Learn2Earn scholarship is awarded to students who are enrolled in their first post high school schooling journey.  Students who have previously attended classes are not eligible. Exception-High school students with dual enrollment receiving a certification and wishing to pursue a 2-year specific degree that leads to employment.

Awards are based on financial need (not income qualified).  The award may only be used for tuition, exams, tools, & books.  Awards are given in the school’s name to be applied to a specific student account.  Any remaining balance will be returned to the Learn2Earn scholarship and not the student.

What Documents Will I Need To Fill Out The Application?

You will need a current financial statement from your school and two letters of recommendation from either an employer, instructor, or your place of worship.

Can I Apply If I Am Still In High School?

Yes, we offer a high school prep program that will assign you a success coach who will help you apply for a school and a scholarship.

Can I apply if I graduated from high school many years ago?

Yes, you may proceed if you do not have any other certifications or degrees.

I have a certificate in another skill; do I still qualify?

No, we apologize. Our program serves students earning their first certificate, diploma, or two-year degree in their chosen field.

How long does it take to hear if a scholarship was awarded?

It depends on whether all the documents are submitted on time and are correct. Once everything is complete, the average time for the review committee’s decision is about one week.

Does the scholarship cover all my expenses while in school?

The scholarship will help cover expenses such as tuition, books, tool fees, exam fees, and uniforms. It will not cover personal expenses such as housing and transportation.
